When the idea of Sortie was conceived nearly 5 years back , It was very tempting to latch on to a big name like a Rafale , Sukhoi , MIG-21, Mirage, Harrier , or a De Havilland. The list is long and each aircraft has played a crucial part in our history . We were very clear right from the beginning, that the Ajwain Sortie will not piggyback on the glorious history or technological prowess of any particular aircraft. With Sortie we wanted the focus to be on two things - EUR The Man EUR because it EUR(TM)s the gumption and prowess of the human mind behind the machine that can turnaround a battle with an aircraft. Sortie is a tribute to the pilot, the airman whose sole aim is to complete a mission and come back safe . Secondly, the Ajwain Sortie stands for transition- Though it EUR(TM)s an analog watch with luminous hands to display time, the indices are in the form of a seven-segment LED signifying the transition from analog controls and displays to digital. The Sortie has a high double curved sapphire crystal reminiscent of the canopy of a fighter aircraft. Two variants - Grey or Blue fume dials for the discerning collector. Case options are Brushed and polished Stainless steel or Black PVD - each variant enhancing the unique look of the watch. As India's most loved watch microbrand, we are continuously trying to improve the product, small changes may be expected.
